Guiding You Through the Legal Maze

Founder & Managing Principal Lawyer

Sepi Agahi

Lawyer. Mother. Advocate for Justice.

Life is a mosaic of roles, experiences, and dreams — and few understand this better than I do. As a mother of three, a legal professional, and someone deeply committed to making a meaningful impact, I’ve built my career on resilience, purpose, and service.

My journey has been shaped by the desire to give voice to those who feel unheard, to simplify the legal process for everyday people, and to build a practice rooted in trust, compassion, and strength. Agahi Legal is the result of that vision — a law firm that doesn’t just deliver outcomes, but stands beside clients with clarity, care, and courage.

At the core of everything I do is a simple belief: when people are informed and supported, they become empowered. That’s the heart of my work, and the mission behind Agahi Legal.

Education

My academic background reflects a strong foundation in both legal theory and commercial insight. I hold a Bachelor of Commerce /Accounting, which equipped me with analytical and financial skills that continue to enhance my legal practice.

I later earned a Bachelor of Laws (LLB), where I developed a deep understanding of legal principles, statutory interpretation, and advocacy. To complement this academic foundation, I completed the Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP) at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law, gaining the practical training required for admission to legal practice.

This combined expertise allows me to approach every matter with strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and a strong commitment to achieving meaningful outcomes for my clients..

My First Steps in Law

I began my legal journey in 2011 as a law clerk at York & York Lawyers, where I developed foundational skills in legal research, advocacy, and client support. Shortly after, I joined Inside Access Mental Health Legal Centre, where I provided legal advice to vulnerable individuals, including prisoners at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre.

Working with those facing immense challenges taught me the importance of empathy and advocacy, lessons that have guided my career ever since\

Advancing in Legal Practice

I started my legal practice at Monaco Lawyers, specializing in commercial law. My work focused on assisting businesses and investors in navigating Australia’s legal frameworks, helping them establish and grow their operations. This role allowed me to refine my expertise in corporate structures, commercial agreements, and compliance, ensuring my clients’ success in a competitive environment.

I continued my practice at KABO Lawyers, a mid-tier firm, where I focused on immigration law. Here, I guided individuals and families through the complex process of gaining residency, integrating into Australian society, and starting new lives.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of this role was helping refugees secure legal stability and rebuild their lives. Advocating for human rights and seeing the transformative impact of my work has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

Balancing Motherhood & Career

For years, I devoted myself to raising my three amazing children, embracing every joy and challenge that motherhood brings. Even during this time, my passion for the law and advocacy never faded.

I’ve always believed that being a mother is one of the most powerful forms of leadership, and the skills I developed—empathy, multitasking, and unwavering determination—have shaped the way I approach both my personal and professional life.

Fighting for Justice

My journey through commercial and immigration law has naturally guided me toward helping vulnerable and injured individuals. My commercial background has provided me with the skills to negotiate effectively with insurance companies and advocate for fair outcomes, while my immigration experience has strengthened my ability to navigate complex systems and fight for those in need.

Today, I am channeling all of these experiences into advocating for injured people. My mission is to provide them with the support, justice, and compassion they deserve while continuing to create meaningful change for those who need it most.
